Bob Newhouser is our Principal for our Planning Practice. He has over 40 years of experience in regional transportation and public transportation planning, Federal Civil Rights Title VI compliance assessment, bus route sketch planning analysis, urban bus network design, transit agency performance benchmarking and origin-destination survey administration. Most of his work has been with MTA New York City Transit, New York City’s subway and bus operator as well as other positions with the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, Detroit’s seven county Metropolitan Planning Organization. His work has focused on benchmarking of key transit performance metrics, managing performance metrics production, estimating, and tracking transit budget expenditures, conducting specialized operations studies in areas such as bus maintenance and maximum bus driver hours, urban bus network design and adjustment, as well as long range transportation plan development and Federal Civil Rights Title VI compliance assessment.
