John Gaul has over 40 years of transit experience at both the Chicago Transit Authority and MTA New York City Transit. He brings to Reddy Analytics a unique combination of bus/rail planning and operations experience. He retired as Vice-President, Subways Service Delivery at NYCT, responsible for the day-to-day operation of the system with 8,200 weekday train trips and over 7,000 employees. Throughout his career, John has specialized in projects designed to improve service quality, productivity and system capacity. These have included the initial planning and operational implementation of a new Rail Control Center designed to centralize responsibility for service monitoring and control, delay management and service regulation procedures. As Vice-President and Chief Officer, Staten Island Railway, he developed a Strategic Business Plan to respond to evolving markets and fully utilize a recent investment in new signal technology. He implemented a variety of cost-effective service improvements that increased ridership by more than 15%. Since 2017, John has provided expert transit consulting support services to several firms.
